I must admit when I sit infront of a blank canvas, even with a half notion of what I want to do I find it daunting! Making the first brush stroke usually involves me sitting staring at a white space for a while before I finally make my move. Its always exciting though, not knowing how the end result will actually turn out.

I mostly work in acrylics when painting, I enjoy the speed with which you can work over them and the variety of textures and layers which can be created. I also find acrylics extremely versatile when working alongside other media such as pastel and print.
